Home / Privacy Statement
Last updated 1 November 2026
remotesolace.com belongs to RemoteSolace, a small recruitment service in Moruya on the New South Wales South Coast. We connect people living in Australia with home-based roles run by other businesses. This statement sets out what happens to personal information when someone reads our pages or contacts us.
We work to the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Questions about anything below can go to careers@remotesolace.com.
The site does not have an application form yet. Applicants reach us by WhatsApp or by email, and we only hold what they decide to send. In practice that tends to be:
If a form is added later, this statement will be updated beforehand and every field on that form will be named here.
RemoteSolace does not purchase mailing lists and does not copy information from social media accounts. When an employer lets us know the result of an introduction, for example that a position is now taken, we may add a short note so we can keep you informed.
Whenever a page is requested, the hosting service records basic technical data such as the requesting IP address, the type of browser and device, the page address and the time. These records help us keep the site secure and fix faults. We do not use them to work out who a visitor is.
Nobody at RemoteSolace will ask you for passwords, one-time codes, online banking logins or photos of identity documents by WhatsApp or email. A message asking for these did not come from us. Do not answer it, and please forward it to careers@remotesolace.com.
We read your messages so we can reply, explain the training course and the two types of role, suggest which one might fit, and set up an introduction to an employer if you ask for one. Keeping a record of the conversation saves you from explaining things twice.
We never sell, trade or rent applicant information. We do not send marketing for other products. Your details go only to the employer you have agreed to, and to no other business unless we have asked and you have said yes.
You will know the name of the employer before we introduce you. Once you agree, we share the minimum that employer needs, normally your name and mobile number. The employer then looks after its own copy under the privacy rules that apply to it.
A handful of outside services help us run the site and talk with applicants:
Before we begin using any further service that would handle applicant information, we will name it in this list.
Information may be released if an Australian law, a court order or an authorised government agency requires it, or where it is reasonably necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
You are always the one who sends a WhatsApp message to HR. Tapping a WhatsApp link only opens the app; nothing goes anywhere until you press send. When you do, we see the message, your WhatsApp profile name and your phone number.
remotesolace.com runs no analytics and sets no advertising cookies at present. Your browser may store small technical files that help the pages load and display correctly. If we ever add a measurement tool, it will be described here before it goes live.
RemoteSolace may promote its roles online. No advertising pixel or conversion tag is installed on the site today. Should one be added, we will publish its identifier here, it will never receive your name or phone number, and we will not use enhanced conversions, Customer Match or remarketing lists built from applicant information.
Cloudflare, Google and WhatsApp may keep or process data in other countries, including the United States and member states of the European Union. Each company publishes its own privacy and security terms.
Chat and email records are deleted no later than 12 months after our last contact with you. Technical logs are cleared within 30 days, and backup copies may take a further 30 days to expire.
Access to applicant messages is limited to the RemoteSolace team members who handle applications. Our accounts are protected with strong, separate passwords and two-step sign-in wherever the service offers it. No online service can promise perfect security, so please leave sensitive information out of messages unless we specifically ask for it.
Your WhatsApp chat is also stored on your own phone, and an employer you meet through us keeps its own file. Deleting our records does not remove those copies.
Email careers@remotesolace.com to find out what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will reply within 30 days. You can withdraw from the process at any time and we will stop using your details, although we cannot recall information an employer has already received with your consent.
Applications are never approved or rejected automatically. Every message is read by a person on our team.
RemoteSolace roles are open to adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us at careers@remotesolace.com and explain what happened. We will look into it and send you a written answer.
Want to pass RemoteSolace on to someone? Please send them a link to the website instead of giving us their contact details, so they can read this statement and choose what to share.
We revise this statement whenever our practices change, and the date at the top shows the version in force. For bigger changes, such as a new form or a new provider, we will also let current applicants know.
